Kenton County has rescinded the Level 2 Snow Emergency (effective on February 14). ![]() In Kentucky, the county government makes the call, but cities can also declare emergencies. | ADMIN Snow accumulations are predicted to range from 8" to 12". The emergencies are a warning system to alert drivers and residents that bad weather could make it unsafe to travel. "This level prohibits driving except for emergencies or absolute necessities. In the beginning of morning astronomical twilight and at the end of astronomical twilight in the evening, sky illumination is very faint, and might be undetectable. Snow is expected to start falling again this afternoon around 2 pm. The county is appreciative that the governor and now the president have recognized the seriousness of the disaster that has impacted our mountain residents and businesses, but it will take some time before it is determined if or when the presidential declaration might result in direct relief to our county, San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairperson Dawn Rowe wrote in an email.
